Key PKP Intercity S.A. systems still hosted in our Data Center!
We are pleased to inform you that INFOMEX has been reselected as a contractor meeting the needs and requirements in a comprehensive project carried out for PKP Intercity S.A.!
The cooperation, ongoing for several years and based on our Data Center services, preceded by the construction of a dedicated Private Cloud environment and migration, continuously includes providing support and administration, as well as monitoring, implementing new systems and applications, executing backup and data archiving policies, protection against DoS/DDoS attacks, and SOC service, including monitoring administrators' work.
The project was full of challenges, especially in its initial phase - among the most important was the migration of the www.intercity.pl service and other portals while maintaining uninterrupted availability for PKP customers. These portals enjoy significant popularity - especially during peak periods, such as holidays, requiring high performance of solutions provided within the Data Center services.
The priority is always to ensure security, high availability, as well as continuous optimization of the traffic generated in the services, which is effectively achieved, among others, through:
- Providing Private Cloud environments and other solutions in HA configuration in every element, with appropriate performance and ensuring scalability.
- Connection with leading telecommunications operators, which guarantees high-performance links through participation in inter-operator traffic exchange points, and providing contact points with Tier 1/Tier 2 global operators are a guarantee of stability and availability.
- Employing a range of protections against external attacks—from carrier-class solutions with filter systems integrated already at the BGP level, DoS/DDoS protection, to NGFW devices.
Thanks to our experience in similar projects, the solution architecture proposed by our developers and engineers allowed for optimizing the overall service cost, thereby building a customer-dedicated virtualized HA Private Cloud environment, complemented by physical database servers, providing full administrative care and support, including in particular:
- Maintaining technical and system infrastructure to the application layer level:
- Administration at the hardware, virtualization, operating system, and application level
- Database administration,
- LAN/WAN/VPN network administration,
- Administration of data archiving and backup process,
- Incident handling,
- Problem, configuration, change management,
- Monitoring systems and connections’ work and availability,
- System and link load control.
- 24/7/365 ServiceDesk service with current ticket handling
- Provision of redundant internet connections
- Provision of Load Balancing and SSL acceleration and network security: Firewall/NGFW, DoS/DDoS protection
- Implementation and execution of Security Operation Center (SOC) service
- Malicious software code analysis
- Provision of synchronous database replication
- Implementation of backup policies ensuring high RTO and RPO
